Tehran Says It Shot Down Drone Over Gulf Waters

Iranian media reported that Tehran shot down an unmanned aerial vehicle over the Gulf waters, in an operation Iranian forces said was carried out with the ‘Arş Keman’ drone equipped with new systems. Officials said the target was successfully destroyed. The authorities said the operation sent a message that stealth drones would not be allowed to enter Gulf airspace. The announcement came shortly after Iran said it would put new air defense systems into service. A Foreign Ministry spokesman said Iran is currently focused not on the nuclear file but on ending the war and protecting the country’s interests.
