Iraqi Airways Opens Direct Erbil-Baku Flight Route

Iraqi Airways has announced the launch of a direct flight route between Erbil and Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, with weekly service set to begin next Thursday. The new connection expands international air links from Erbil and adds a direct corridor to a regional capital. The airline said the flights will operate once a week. No additional schedule details were provided. The Iraqi Civil Aviation Authority reopened Iraqi airspace and all airports to air traffic on 8 April. The move followed a closure imposed after the war between Iran and the United States and Israel.
