Saudi Arabia Registers 1.7 Million Pilgrims for 2026 Hajj

Saudi Arabia’s General Authority for Statistics said the total number of pilgrims for the 1447 Hicri calendar and 2026 Gregorian year reached 1,707,301, underscoring the scale of the annual Hajj pilgrimage. The figure includes pilgrims arriving from abroad and participants from within the kingdom.
Of the total, 1,546,655 pilgrims came from outside Saudi Arabia, while 160,646 joined from inside the country. The overall count included 893,396 male pilgrims and 813,905 female pilgrims.
Among those arriving from abroad, 1,485,729 used air travel. Another 54,429 arrived by land, while 6,497 reached Saudi Arabia by sea.
