Saudi Arabia Says 1.7 Million Pilgrims Performed Hajj in 1447 Season

Saudi Arabia said the total number of pilgrims in the 1447 Hajj season reached 1,707,301, underscoring the scale of this year’s pilgrimage operations. Of the total, 1,546,655 came from outside the kingdom and 160,646 performed Hajj from within Saudi Arabia.
The kingdom said 893,396 of the pilgrims were men and 813,905 were women. The figures reflect the final breakdown released for the season.
Most pilgrims from abroad arrived by air, with 1,485,729 entering through airports. Another 54,429 came through land border crossings, while 6,497 arrived by sea.
