Ship Carrying 44,000 Tons of American Rice Reaches Aqaba Port

BAGHDAD, Iraq — The Iraqi Ministry of Trade’s Grain Board announced that the vessel EQUINOX DREAM has arrived at the Port of Aqaba in Jordan. General Manager Lama al-Musawi confirmed the ship is carrying a cargo of 44,000 tons of American rice. Al-Musawi stated that the shipment was successfully completed despite ongoing challenges in maritime logistics. The delivery is part of the ministry’s 2026 strategic plan to maintain the supply of essential food items and social welfare goods. The Grain Board is currently coordinating with relevant authorities to manage the unloading process and ensure the timely transport of the rice to warehouses and distribution centers across Iraq.
