AMMAN, Jordan — The Jordanian government has pushed back the start of the morning workday on days when the national team plays its 2026 World Cup matches, according to a decision by Prime Minister Jaafar Hassan.
Official working hours will begin at 10:00 a.m. on June 17, 23 and 28, the government said. The move was taken so citizens can watch the national team’s matches.
Jordan is in the same group as Argentina, Austria and Algeria at the tournament. The team’s first match is scheduled for June 17 against Austria.
