KUWAIT CITY, Kuwait โ Kuwait's Ministry of Interior said on Saturday that security forces had disrupted an ISIS plot to attack a critical facility inside the country, arresting a Kuwaiti citizen who had joined the group before the planned operation could be carried out.
The ministry said the suspect had received training in explosives manufacturing and drone use. Investigators also determined that he had produced an unmanned aerial vehicle intended for the attack, according to the statement.
The plan targeted strategic facilities in Kuwait, the ministry said, without specifying their nature or location. Officials added that security agencies acted at an early stage to prevent the operation from being carried out.
The investigation into the plot remains ongoing. The ministry said operations against groups that threaten public safety would continue.
