Iran accelerates repairs at war-damaged South Pars gas facilities

TEHRAN, Iran — TEHRAN — Iran has accelerated repairs at four war-damaged gas processing facilities in Asaluyeh, Bushehr province, on the Persian Gulf coast, aiming to restore daily production capacity of 95 million cubic meters, Oil Minister Mohsen Paknejad said. Some of the gas processing facilities were damaged during the war, resulting in a daily production loss of 95 million cubic meters, the minister told Shana, the Iranian Oil Ministry's news agency. Paknejad said debris-clearing work has been completed and contractors have begun construction. The minister did not specify a timeline for restoring full capacity. The minister warned that part of the production capacity would be out of service during the winter months. He stressed that gas supply and consumption would need to be carefully managed through the winter to prevent disruptions.
