ST. GALLEN, Switzerland โ The Jordan national football team lost 4-1 to Switzerland in a friendly match held today as part of preparations for the 2026 World Cup.
Brel Embolo opened the scoring for Switzerland with a penalty in the 27th minute, followed by a goal from Dan Ndoye five minutes later. Granit Xhaka extended the lead to 3-0 during first-half stoppage time.
Jordan narrowed the deficit in the second half with a goal from Awda El Fakuri. Christian Fassnacht scored the final goal for Switzerland in the 78th minute to secure the win.
