Iraq Stars League closes season with five matches in final week

BAGHDAD, Iraq — The 2025-2026 Iraq Stars League season enters its 38th and final week today with five matches scheduled in Baghdad, Diyala, Mosul and Najaf. Three matches are set for 18:00: Diyala-Duhok, Naft-Noroz and Mosul-Qasim. Talaba-Karkh and Zorba-Najaf will follow at 20:30. The championship was previously secured by Fuerzas with 86 points, while Police finished second with 81 and Erbil third with 76. The final round will decide the standings from fourth to sixth place and the spots for participation in external tournaments. At the lower end of the table, the play-out battle between Nafit Maysan and Amanat Baghdad will continue, while Najaf and Qasim have already been relegated to the second division.
