Erbil Traffic Police Impound Baghdad-Plated Car Over 80 Million Dinar Fine

Erbil Traffic Police stopped a Baghdad-plated vehicle and found it carried traffic fines totaling 80 million 235 thousand dinars. The car was taken into custody because of the outstanding amount. The Erbil Police Directorate’s Traffic Department said the driver was identified as an Arab national. Authorities said similar cases occur frequently in the city. Officials added that regulations related to license plate tracking are now under discussion, as enforcement teams continue to monitor vehicles with unpaid penalties.
