Landowners in Baghdad’s Dura District Protest Encroachment on Their Property

A group of original landowners gathered in Tigrit Mahallesi in Dura, south of Baghdad, after unidentified people interfered with their plots. The protesters called on officials to urgently address the land file and stop the ongoing encroachments. Participants said they possess documents and official papers proving ownership of the property. They demanded that the problem be resolved quickly. The demonstrators also urged authorities to take the necessary steps to end all interference on the land.
