Baghdad cuts transfer to Kurdistan by 80 billion dinars

The Kurdistan Regional Government’s Ministry of Finance and Economy said it deposited 50 billion dinars with Baghdad as part of half of May’s non-oil revenues.
The ministry said the funding sent by the federal finance authorities fell 80 billion dinars short of the amount needed to cover salaries for the region’s employees.
According to the statement, the transferred funds were not enough to fully meet salary payments.
