BAGHDAD, Iraq โ Mohammed Shia' al-Sudani, head of the Iraq Reconstruction and Development Coalition, met with Sheikh Wissam al-Biyati, a representative of the Homeland Loyalty Bloc in Salahuddin province, his office said on Sunday.
Biyati was accompanied by a delegation that included representatives of civil society organizations working on youth, women's and humanitarian issues, along with other community figures, according to the statement from Sudani's office.
The meeting reviewed national developments and addressed service-related and social matters affecting citizens. The two sides also discussed the role civil society organizations play in reinforcing domestic peace and supporting the implementation of state-led reconstruction and development programs.
Sudani's office said strengthening social cohesion and supporting stability were among the main topics addressed during the talks. No further details were immediately available.
