Parliament Panel Reviews Higher Pensions for Interior Ministry Personnel

Iraq’s Parliamentary Security and Defense Committee has begun reviewing amendments to the Internal Security Forces Service and Retirement Law, with changes aimed at improving retirement conditions for Interior Ministry personnel. The proposed package would raise pensions and revise allowances for service members after retirement. Committee members said some current pensions remain below 500,000 dinars, a level they считают does not match present living conditions.
