Millions march toward Karbala for Imam Hussein 40th-day commemoration

BAGHDAD, Iraq — Tens of thousands of pilgrims are continuing their overland journey from Baghdad and other Iraqi cities toward Karbala to mark the Arbaeen observance, the 40th-day commemoration of Imam Hussein. The roads linking the capital to the holy city remain busy with pedestrians, while service tents have been set up along the routes to distribute food, water and other supplies to travelers.
