Iraqi River Police Rescue Two Girls from Rivers in Baghdad and Mosul

BAGHDAD, Iraq — Iraqi river police rescued two girls who jumped from bridges into rivers in Baghdad and Nineveh on Sunday. A security source in Nineveh reported that a girl born in 2007 attempted suicide by jumping from the Old Bridge in central Mosul due to family issues. In Baghdad, the Karkh Police Command stated that rescue teams recovered a girl from the water after she jumped from a bridge. The police released footage documenting the rescue operation.
