BAGHDAD, Iraq โ Iraqi parliament member Alya Nasif accused unnamed individuals on Monday of orchestrating a systematic online campaign against her, claiming those responsible are connected to corruption cases she has exposed.
In a statement, Nasif alleged that former officials whose state protection had been lifted and individuals she implicated in public asset theft are using coordinated online networks to direct false accusations at her. She argued the effort aims to divert attention from their own legal exposure and evade accountability.
Nasif maintained her innocence, saying the Iraqi judiciary operates based on evidence and facts. She described the campaign as a failed attempt and said the information circulated represents only fragments of a broader picture. No further details were immediately available.
