A shooting at a high school in Nonthaburi, a suburb north of Bangkok, killed seven people and wounded 15 others, Thai newspaper Khaosod reported.
Among the dead were three teachers and three students, according to the report. The injured, two of them in critical condition, were taken to hospitals.
Thai PBS television said the gunman was a ninth-grade student who fired dozens of shots in the school courtyard before taking his own life. The station identified the school as Thippsirin School in Nonthaburi, which serves students from seventh to twelfth grade and is regarded as one of the country's top university preparatory schools.
Security forces and rescue teams were working at the scene, while police urged the public to avoid the area. No further details were immediately available.
