Iraq transport minister dismisses airports director and names acting replacement

BAGHDAD, Iraq — Iraq’s Transport Minister Vehb Salman Muhammed on Sunday, May 31, 2026, dismissed the acting head of the Iraqi Airports Operations Department and appointed a replacement, according to a ministry order. Hüseyin Ali Hüseyin was removed from the post, and Ihab Sad Kerim Musa, a senior pilot with the Iraqi Airways General Company, was named acting director in his place. The order also granted Musa the rank of deputy general director. He will carry out the new assignment alongside his existing duties.
