BAGHDAD, Iraq โ Iraqi Justice Minister Haidar al-Shawani has ordered the rotation of bailiffs serving in enforcement directorates across the country, according to a ministry statement.
The ministry said the rotation procedure, already applied to enforcement directorates in Baghdad, is being expanded to other cities. Shawani said the decision was taken to improve institutional performance and reinforce the principles of transparency and integrity.
According to the statement, the rotation aims to raise the quality of judicial services offered to citizens and renew working mechanisms. The minister said the policy is designed to strengthen standards of efficiency, impartiality and accountability.
The ministry said the measure was adopted to prevent the negative effects of staff remaining in the same units for extended periods.
