Turkish daily outlines PKK disarmament timeline starting in November

Under the plan, PKK members are expected to return to Turkey and surrender their weapons by November. Weapons will be handed over in Erbil and Sulaymaniyah using a defined procedure, with each item logged and added to official registries, according to the report. Turkish intelligence personnel will monitor the evacuation of caves, camps and organizational headquarters in the Kurdistan Region in person, then submit an assessment report to Turkey's National Security Council. The roadmap also covers between 7,000 and 8,000 PKK fighters in Iraq and Syria who would return to Turkey, 8,000 civilians at the Mahmur camp who would be sent back to their home areas, and 2,200 militia members in Sinjar who would be integrated into the Iraqi army. An estimated 70,000 to 80,000 PKK supporters in Europe would be allowed to return to Turkey once relevant legal measures take effect, the report said.
