Iraq's General Directorate of Meteorology has warned of rain, thunderstorms and dust storms for tomorrow, the eve of Eid, as weather conditions turn unsettled across the country. The forecast matters for travel and holiday movements, with stronger winds and dust expected in the center and south.
Temperatures tomorrow are expected to range between 37-39 degrees in the south, 35-36 degrees in the central regions and 28-32 degrees in the north. Partly cloudy skies are expected in the northern provinces, while wind speeds in the center and south may reach 40 kilometers per hour.
Those winds are expected to cause light dust transport in the central and southern areas. Rain and thunderstorm activity are also included in the warning for the eve of the holiday.
On Monday, the first day of Eid, weather across the country is expected to be clear, with temperatures forecast to fall. Tuesday is also expected to be clear, although partly cloudy conditions may appear during the night hours.
