Iran, U.S. still at odds over draft deal in talks

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates — Iran and the United States have not reached an agreement in their talks, with disputes over a draft deal still unresolved, the Iranian state agency Tasnim reported on Sunday. The agency said the negotiations still carry a risk of failure and that no final understanding has been reached. It added that there is caution inside Iran because of previous U.S. experience. Tasnim said any possible agreement would need strong guarantees to protect Iran’s interests. Mediators are continuing to exchange messages and notes between the two sides, but no final formula has emerged.
