KUWAIT CITY, Kuwait โ€” Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said late on Saturday it struck and disabled early-warning and tactical radar systems in Kuwait, describing the attacks as the second wave of "Operation Nasr 2." The IRGC said in its 41st communiquรฉ that the strikes were carried out to "cleanse" radar systems in the region, according to its statement. The guard said it "precisely" hit a main early-warning radar and a tactical radar unit near Al Salem Air Base, as well as another radar system on Bubiyan Island. All targeted units were rendered inoperable, the statement added. The IRGC added that a "punishment operation against the aggressor" was continuing. Kuwaiti and Bahraini authorities said they had come under Iranian attacks and activated air defense measures, urging citizens to follow security instructions.
