Iran Accuses Gulf States and Jordan of Joining US Attack

Iran accused several Gulf states and Jordan of taking part in the US attack on Iran, escalating its diplomatic response to the strike. In a letter to the UN secretary-general and the Security Council, Iran’s Permanent Representative Amir Said İravani cited statements by the US president and officials from Central Command. İravani said the countries had effectively fought alongside the United States by providing bases, logistical support and intelligence sharing. Iran held Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Jordan responsible for participating in and supporting the attack. The letter also demanded full compensation from those countries for all material and moral damages. Iran said it was seeking complete reparations for the losses it says resulted from the assault.
