Hunter Biden says father's cancer has spread, causing severe pain

Hunter Biden said his father, former U.S. President Joe Biden, is suffering severe pain as prostate cancer has spread to his bones and other parts of his body. In an interview with the BBC, Hunter Biden said the disease had reached "the bones and beyond" and was seriously affecting his father's overall condition. A spokesperson for the 83-year-old Biden declined to comment on his son's remarks. In May 2025, Biden disclosed that he had been diagnosed with an aggressive form of prostate cancer that had already spread to his bones. In October 2025, his spokesperson said Biden was receiving radiation and hormone therapy. Biden served as president from 2021 to 2025, after being elected in 2020 as the oldest person ever elected to the U.S. presidency. His physical health and mental fitness were widely debated during his time in office. He had attended the opening of a new center in Chicago, Illinois, named after his tenure as vice president under Barack Obama. Biden's presidential memoir is scheduled for release on November 17.
