Harry Kane tops early 2026 Ballon d'Or race

PARIS, France — LONDON — Bayern Munich forward Harry Kane was ranked first among the leading candidates for the 2026 Ballon d'Or, according to a list of early contenders. Paris Saint-Germain's Ousmane Dembélé was placed second, with Arsenal's Declan Rice third. Barcelona's Lamine Yamal was listed fourth, while Bayern Munich's Michael Olise finished fifth. The award ceremony is scheduled to take place in London on Oct. 26.
