Geely opens new showroom at Baghdad Mall through Iraqi distributor

BAGHDAD, Iraq — Geely Auto has opened a new showroom at Baghdad Mall through its Iraqi distributor, Tareeq Al Majal, part of Al Majal Group. The outlet will display Geely's current models and serve as a delivery point for vehicles sold in the capital. The company said the showroom expands its sales and after-sales network in Baghdad. Customers will be able to purchase vehicles, arrange test drives and access financing options directly at the site, according to company officials. Tareeq Al Majal said Baghdad's automotive demand is growing rapidly and that the new investment is intended to meet that demand. The company described the opening as one of several steps to strengthen the Chinese automaker's presence in the Iraqi market. The distributor said it plans to open similar showrooms in other Iraqi cities in the coming period.
