Fire Destroys 22 Dunams of Wheat in Kirkuk's Hawija District

KIRKUK, Iraq — A fire destroyed 22 dunams of wheat crops in the village of Jadidat al-Sada, located in the Hawija district of Kirkuk, on Tuesday. Civil defense teams contained the blaze and prevented the flames from spreading to adjacent agricultural lands. No injuries were reported in the incident, and damage was limited to the crops. Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the fire and the full extent of the losses. This incident follows a similar fire in the same district one day earlier, which resulted in the loss of approximately 10 dunams of wheat.
