Dollar closes higher in Baghdad and Erbil against Iraqi dinar

BAGHDAD, Iraq โ The U.S. dollar rose against the Iraqi dinar at the close of trading on Thursday in Baghdad and Erbil, according to local exchange rates.
In Baghdad, the bazaar rate at the Kifach and Harisiye stock exchanges climbed to 152,350 dinars per dollar from 152,050 dinars in the morning. At city exchange shops, the selling price for $100 reached 153,000 dinars, while the buying price stood at 152,000 dinars.
In Erbil, the capital of the Kurdistan Region, the dollar also closed higher, with the selling rate at 152,550 dinars and the buying rate at 152,500 dinars. Officials said the upward movement in the foreign exchange market continued after the new closing rate was announced, though no further details were immediately available.
