Dehlaki Calls for Probe Into Diyala Gasoline Shortage

BAGHDAD, Iraq — Lawmaker Raad al-Dehlaki has blamed the Oil Ministry and other government bodies for a gasoline shortage that has affected Diyala for several months. Dehlaki said the crisis has deepened and directly affected daily life and public services in the province. He said the government’s measures to end the shortage were insufficient and that the failure to take serious steps on the fuel file had increased public hardship. He called for an urgent investigation into the causes of the gasoline shortage and said those responsible for any negligence should be held to account. Dehlaki also urged an immediate increase in the amount of fuel allocated to the region.
