Basra governor signs energy cooperation MoU with US-based KBR

The governor's office said KBR is already in contact with local partners to begin operations in Basra and that specific projects are expected to take shape in the coming period. Al-Eydani told the visiting KBR delegation that the province's oil and gas potential could attract international companies, contributing to employment and technology transfer. KBR representatives said they were interested in Basra's energy projects and would continue preparations for cooperation.
