Ronaldo and Georgina opt for property separation in marriage

LISBON, Portugal — Marriage documents obtained by Portuguese newspaper JN show that Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodríguez chose to keep their assets separate, opting for a prenuptial property-separation regime before their wedding. Under the arrangement, each party will independently manage assets owned before the marriage as well as property and funds acquired during the union, according to the documents. Assets purchased or acquired jointly are expected to remain under shared ownership by both parties. The documents indicate that the couple signed the prenuptial agreement one day before their civil marriage ceremony. They did not change their surnames after the wedding. Ronaldo and Rodríguez announced their marriage on their social media accounts with a photograph of their rings and a brief message featuring their initials.
