Baghdad’s Rusafa Police Command said it solved the killing of a woman who had left home and gone missing after investigators determined that her brother killed her and buried her body in agricultural land to conceal the crime. The case has drawn attention because the suspect admitted to the killing and described it as 'cleansing honor.'
The investigation team established that the missing woman’s brother was responsible for the murder. The body was found at the location the suspect indicated and was handed over to the forensic medicine unit.
Police detained the suspect after his confession and said he was arrested to stand trial under Article 406 of the Turkish Penal Code.
