Young man shot dead in Mosul garden, police say

MOSUL, Iraq — A 20-year-old man was killed by gunfire in the garden of his home in the Râfidin neighborhood in western Mosul on Tuesday, a Nineveh police source said. The victim died at the scene after a bullet struck his head, according to the source. The body was transferred to the forensic medicine unit to complete an autopsy and legal procedures, the police source added.
