Verfone sets August 18 launch for 6 Plus smartphone

Verfone has confirmed that its Verfone 6 Plus smartphone will be officially unveiled on August 18. The event is scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m. Central European Time, 12:00 p.m. London time, and 2:00 p.m. Eastern European Time. The new model arrives roughly a year after the Verfone 6 and is expected to bring upgrades in performance and memory. According to recent leaks, the device will use a Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor, replacing the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 found in the Verfone 6. Other reported changes include an increase in RAM from 8 GB to 12 GB and the addition of a new color option called Cobalt Blue. The phone's design and core specifications are otherwise expected to remain largely similar to its predecessor. The Verfone 6 Plus is rumored to be priced at around 649 euros, which would be 50 euros above the Verfone 6's original launch price and roughly 100 euros higher than its current retail price.
