Interior Ministry First Undersecretary Hussein Al Avadi issued a condolence message for Special Operations personnel killed in an explosion in Nineveh. He said an improvised explosive device left by ISIS remnants detonated in the desert west of the Hajr area, southwest of Hadr, while personnel were on duty.
Three members of the Special Operations Forces were killed and four others were wounded in the incident. The wounded were taken under treatment, and the blast occurred during a field sweep.
