Three members of the Hashd al-Shaabi were injured when a 60-millimetre mortar round exploded inside the Sipker Military Base in Salahaddin. The blast occurred while personnel were clearing the area around one of the guard towers and burning dry grass.
One of the wounded was reported to have suffered a serious head injury. The injured were taken to Tikrit Teaching Hospital for treatment.
