Sirvan Taha Osman elected president of Erbil Tennis Federation

ERBIL, Iraq — The Erbil Tennis Federation elected Sirvan Taha Osman as its new president during an electoral congress held in the Kurdistan Region capital on Saturday. Zimir Muhammad Tahir and Haif Faisal Majid were selected to serve on the federation's board of directors. Iraq Tennis Federation President Saif al-Aqayli said the vote was conducted under the supervision of an election commission, the Erbil Olympic Committee representation office and the Directorate of Physical Education and Sports. Iraq Tennis Federation Vice President Said Khalil was also in attendance, according to al-Aqayli. Al-Aqayli said the process was completed in line with established legal procedures and congratulated the new president and board members, expressing hope they would contribute to the development of tennis in Erbil. The board also thanked Kamal Abdullah, the federation's previous president, for his service during his term.
