US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said the United States will not allow Hizbullah's threat to use violence and bring down the Lebanese government to succeed. He said Washington strongly condemns Hizbullah's call to overthrow the elected Lebanese government.
Rubio accused Hizbullah of ignoring calls to halt fire and comply with ceasefire terms, while continuing to fire at Israeli positions and moving fighters and weapons into southern Lebanon.
He said the United States fully supports the Lebanese government's efforts to secure reconstruction, recovery and stability.
