JERUSALEM โ€” Roughly one in five Israelis, or 18 percent of respondents, said they had considered leaving the country in the past two years, according to a survey by the Israel Broadcasting Authority. About a third of those polled said they knew at least one person who had left Israel during the same period, the survey found. The poll also showed that 41 percent of participants expressed concern over the phenomenon of reverse migration, while 46 percent said they were not worried. Concerns about emigration appeared to be linked, at least for some, to the political calendar. Around 12 percent of respondents said the outcome of Israelโ€™s upcoming elections could influence their decision to stay or leave. Nearly two-thirds of those surveyed said the election results would not be a deciding factor in their choice. The Israel Broadcasting Authority did not immediately publish further details on the pollโ€™s methodology or sample size.
