Iraqi Kurdistan Region President Nechirvan Barzani has marked Eid al-Adha with a message поздравulating Muslims in the Kurdistan Region, Iraq and around the world, and wishing all citizens a peaceful holiday. He said the festival should bring goodness, happiness, calm and joy to everyone.
Barzani also wished pilgrims a safe return to their home countries and said he hoped God would accept the rites of all those who performed the Hajj. He concluded with the greeting: “May their holidays be blessed.”
In his message, Barzani said the deeper meaning of Eid al-Adha should be turned into an opportunity to renew relations through tolerance, forgiveness and reconciliation. He said the holiday should open a new page in daily life built on sincerity, harmony and love.
He ended by saying, “May Eid al-Adha be blessed for everyone, and may your years pass with happiness.”
