Naft Maysan Beat Najaf as Zakho and Al-Mina Draw in Iraqi League

Naft Maysan defeated Najaf 2-1 in one of two postponed Iraqi League matches, while Zakho and Al-Mina played out a 2-2 draw. The results kept both fixtures tightly contested and added movement to the league standings.
The match between Al-Mina and Zakho was played at Al-Mina Stadium in Basra and finished goalless in the first half. Zakho moved ahead through two goals from Hadi Salih before Al-Mina levelled the score with goals from Yasin Samiya and Muhannad Abdulrahim.
Zakho were reduced to 10 men for the closing stages after Shafan Jamil was shown a red card. Al-Mina completed the comeback after falling two goals behind.
In the other postponed game in Maysan, Naft Maysan took control through goals from Dimi Daude and held off Najafโs lone reply to secure the win. The result gave Naft Maysan a valuable victory on home turf.
