Kuwait condemns Iranian missile and drone strikes as sovereignty violation

The ministry said the strikes represented a clear violation of Kuwait's sovereignty and a threat to its security and stability. In an official statement, the ministry said the attacks also violated international law and the UN Charter, as well as UN Security Council Resolution 2817. It described the strikes as a serious escalation that threatened regional security and undermined diplomatic de-escalation efforts. The ministry added that Kuwait reserves the right to take all necessary measures under international law to protect its sovereignty, safeguard its interests, and ensure the safety of its citizens and residents on its territory.
