KARBALA, Iraq โ Kataib Hezbollah's secretary-general, Abu Hussein al-Humaydawi, said in a written statement on Friday that the fighting has not ended and that a more dangerous phase lies ahead.
Referencing the start of the Islamic month of Muharram and the events of Karbala, Humaydawi said the tradition of resistance embodied by Imam Hussein would continue. He said the group had emerged victorious from another round of war but that the struggle was ongoing, adding that the organization must remain prepared for all developments.
The statement warned that enemies were "savage" and that their agreements could not be trusted, dismissing any "new page" approach as a potential deception. Humaydawi listed losses in Gaza, Lebanon, Yemen, Iran, Syria and Iraq, including the killing of Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, former Hezbollah secretary-general Hassan Nasrallah and other figures close to the group.
He framed the war as a struggle between "truth and falsehood" that would continue "until the Day of Judgment," and directed hostile language at groups opposing the organization.
