Iraqi Politician Outlines Two Red Lines in Potential US Strike on Iran Nuclear Sites

BAGHDAD, Iraq — An Iraqi politician said the United States has identified two red lines that would constrain any military operation targeting Iran's nuclear facilities. Adnan et-Temimi said the first red line involves avoiding facilities where Russian experts and engineers are present, while the second protects strategically important nuclear sites including the Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant. Within these boundaries, the US would seek to strike Iran's nuclear infrastructure in a limited and controlled manner, according to Temimi. He added that the presence of Russian experts in Iran's nuclear infrastructure could trigger Russia's reaction in the event of military conflict. The US administration continues to maintain its stance on Iran's nuclear program and will act within these constraints, Temimi said. No official confirmation from Washington was available.
