Iraq Airways Resumes Flights After Airspace Reopening

BAGHDAD, Iraq — Iraq's Ministry of Transport announced that Iraq Airways has resumed flight operations following the reopening of the country's airspace. The Civil Aviation Authority had previously confirmed that airspace reopened for all flights to and from Iraqi airports, with air traffic restarting under approved operational procedures. Round-trip flights have been reinstated according to established schedules, the ministry said. Officials stated that necessary technical and operational preparations were completed to ensure passenger safety. The decision came after the process that prompted the airspace closure concluded. Relevant authorities worked in coordination to restore regular air traffic operations, according to the ministry statement. Iraq Airways flights are operating in line with the restored schedule, the ministry noted.
