BAGHDAD, Iraq โ Iraq's Interior Ministry said border security and stability have been maintained at a high level through enhanced surveillance and control along the country's frontier. In a written statement, the ministry said the measures had strengthened border security and reduced illegal crossings and smuggling attempts.
The ministry said the border operations are carried out under advanced security plans, combining modern technology with a substantial personnel presence in the field. Border crossings and the frontier line itself are managed through strict inspection and control procedures, the statement added, allowing high security to be maintained alongside the orderly movement of travelers.
The ministry also said technical and operational capacity along the border is being continuously strengthened. Surveillance systems and field operations are being coordinated as part of the effort, according to the statement, which did not provide further details on specific technologies or units deployed.
