Iraqi Economic Council to Review Farmers' Demands Tomorrow

BAGHDAD, Iraq — Iraqi Minister of Agriculture Abdulrahim al-Shammari announced that farmers' demands will be addressed during tomorrow's meeting of the Ministerial Council for Economy. The decision follows a meeting held today between the minister and representatives of various farmers' associations. Key issues raised during the discussions included the deferral of loan repayments, the logistics of wheat delivery, and outstanding financial payments. Al-Shammari stated that he has already communicated these concerns to the Minister of Finance via telephone. In a statement released by the ministry, al-Shammari expressed his support for the country's farmers. He emphasized the agricultural sector's role as a vital component of the national economy.
